… one way or another. We can choose our way to die. One way we ease into equilibrium with our planet's carrying capacity for Humanity. The other way, we go extinct. What is your baseline? The Paris Accords does not name one. US scientists set the baseline 1900-1910. By that definition, we violated the Accord in 1993. Whatever Sabine argues, we were in trouble 50 years ago. Right now, we are headed for a 50% human die-off within this century's end. Let me write that again… 4-7 BILLION of us are going extinct in the die-off; with the post die-off survivor baseline, even if everything goes well of 2-4 billion by 2100, with a much less biodiverse and more poisoned and hotter planet. With Charybdis to the right of us, an atomic weapon war (Scylla), does not sound so bad? :spiderman: :geek: :spiderman: Are you insane?!? [lexluthor] [joker] [lexluthor] We better fix things, we did wrong. We need to put the work in on climate control. We need to drop mean average temperatures by two degrees Celsius. But most importantly, we need to fix ourselves. Our stupidity no longer can be ignored. Collectively we need to become smarter Humans. Avatar
